With the title sequence being for a TV show about The Beatles' best songs, it seems only logical to actually have a Beatles track as the soundtrack to the opening sequence. This just puts it into context with the subject matter. Probably in the most direct way possible. However, this must be an informed decision:
Even though the program is about The Beatles best songs, it certainly wouldn't make sense to use one of their most popular songs as it would no doubt appear in the show. This would spoil it for the viewer. So the track must be not one of their most well known. However, this is not too much of a problem for the target audience as it is still nevertheless, a Beatles song.
I decided to go for Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band (Reprise) from the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band album.
My decision does take into account that the song references one of the Beatles' most popular songs - that is - the original Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band song (not the Reprise that I am using) and that it is from the album of the same name that is one of the best selling albums of all time. Here is the song:
I will simply be using the first 50 seconds of the track in my video.
